MPAA Forced To Take Down University Toolkit

[via Bobcanfly]

“PriceChild, an Ubuntu Developer and part of the UbuntuForums Staff has managed to get the MPAA to take down their GPL violating University Toolkit software that I wrote about a few days ago. After a few unsuccessful attempts, an email was sent to the ISP who succeeded in forcing the MPAA to remove the software.

Would have been brilliantly ironic if Canonical had decided to take them to court.”

Irony, thy name is MPAA.
