  • OEM style slot 1 card
  • Uses MicroSD cards, formatted in FAT16 or FAT32
  • So software lag when running from SD cards
  • Supports Clean ROM, and drag and drop installation. Works on any OS
  • Built in NoPass
  • Automatically detect save type
  • Saves directly to MicroSD card, not to onboard chip
  • Supports Moonshell and other home brew. Open I/O interface
  • User friendly skinnable interface.
  • Supports rumble pak and memory pak
  • Supports the WiFi game, DS Rumble Pak, DS Browser
  • Supports 4-scale-lightness adjustment (DS Lite only)
  • Supports the Soft Reset.
  • Moonshell 1.6 support Software Reset function (Press START key back to the R4 menu)

What is included in the box:

1 x USB microSD card reader
1 x Black R4 SLOT-1 cartridge (I heard some of the older ones were white)
1 x Mini installation CD (Pain in he @$$ if you have a slot loading disc drive, but don’t worry, their web site has the current firmware to download)
1 x Silicone DS cartridge key chain holder

I went to R4’s website to download the latest files both because they were more recent than the shipped CD, and also because my MacBook won’t load mini CD-ROMs in its slot drive.

If you downloaded the latest OS from their website, all you simply do is download the file, extract is and transfer the files onto the micro SD and thats it. Home brew, ROMs, MP3s, and other files are just as easy. Just drag and drop them onto the SD card.
