Opera Mini 4 beta 2 now available…

Just recieved this email from the Opera Mini mailing list yesterday:

Hi,

It’s the Opera Mini team again. We’ve made more improvements to the world’s most popular mobile Web browser. Today, we’re excited to share the results of our hard work. What have we added? Well…

– Landscape mode: If you like that swanky effect of switching the page view mode by rotating your iPhone, you’ll love trying ours. (NOTE: Does not work in the same way 🙂 )

– Multi-search Start Page: Searching on the go just got faster. We’ve added a new page with several search engines for your mobile searching pleasure.

– Custom search engines: Just like on the PC version of Opera, you can now customize your search engines so Opera Mini reflects all your tastes and preferences.

– Exclusive BlackBerry support: We heard you. The new Opera Mini beta includes many enhancements for our BlackBerry users including better menus and a new user interface.

Click here to try it for yourself.

Also, don’t forget to give us feedback. While you play, we’re already back at work making Opera Mini even better.

Happy surfing,

The Opera Mini team

PS – The new PC version of Opera, codenamed Kestrel, is also coming out in an alpha preview next week. Click here to try it out.

So, landscape support available, and better support for Crackberries.

Best part about its, as I have been using it for about a day now, is it hasn’t crashed of froze my Treo 680 yet. The previous beta crashed constantly for me. This seems much more stable.
